Here We Go

I've never written a blog entry before; heck, I've never even read one before.  But where else can I safely share the daily challenge that is urinary incontinence.  I have been leaking urine for over two years.  I am still learning to cope with the many challenges and it seems all to often, I am caught by surprise.  Tonight I was sitting on my bed with my husband.  I thought I felt a small trickle, not unusual.  When I stood up, there was a huge wet spot on the sheet.  It is pretty rare that others are aware of my leaking, but I wasn't able to hide this one.  We had to change the sheets, I had to change my clothes, I didn't even feel it happening.  Thank goodness I have an understanding husband.  I usually get into trouble when I think I don't need the great big Poise pad (thank goodness for those).  I figure I am close to home, I've been  sick in bed all day, so not active.  I thought a small pad would do.  I was wrong.
